Kalonzo Musyoka team dismissed by Raila Odinga

The government have appointed Kalonzo Musyoka to head the committee that will take part in mediation talks with ODM.

I think Raila Odinga's usage of the term Kenya's Judas is more appropriate, in reference to Kalonzo Musyoka. Raila Odinga has dismissed the Kalonzo team.

Wangari Maathai dismissed the Musyoka committee stating that Musyoka was Raila's competitor and had undermined the ODM leadership.

The government say that the team are there to stay, and Raila has made it clear that he does not recognise the team.

It does not look like these mediation talks are going anywhere.

In the meantime Kibera women have started a campaign for peace.

It is important that Kenya nurtures a culture of non-violent mass action, for the state to oppose this is a denial of human rights. The emergence of criminal armed militias, who may go underground, will have disastrous consequences.
